Prof. Sandmann hat mich schon lange zum Chirurgenkongress nach Graz eingeladen. Ich wollte die Gelegenheit nützen, noch einmal mit ihm zu reden. Durch widrige Umstände hat Prof. Sandmann seinen Vortrag zum Wilkie-Syndrom versäumt. Dass über diese Krankheit gar nichts gesagt wird, konnte ich nicht so stehen lassen. Ich startete zum Vorsitzenden und bat, dass ich in Vertretung von Prof. Sandmann ein paar Worte sagen darf. Zwei Minuten hatte ich zur Verfügung - unvorbereitet natürlich. Ich hätte ohne weiteres zehn Minuten reden können. Prof. Sandmann hat von meinem Auftritt erfahren. "Das geht in die Historie ein!" hat er gemeint. Naja. Wir sprachen dann sehr lange und ausführlich über die neuerliche Operation. Er will mich noch im Juli operieren. Ich zögere sehr und warte mal ab. Mein Port funktioniert nicht und ich muss operiert werden. Inzwischen versuche ich, irgendwie meine Kalorien in mich hineinzubringen. Schnelles Sättigungsgefühl, Schmerzen, Übelkeit und Erbrechen sind an der Tagesordnung.
