Why should I have had two different diseases since childhood, one in the abdomen and one in the musculoskeletal system?

25 years after the first doctor's visit for abdominal pain, the very rare Wilkie syndrome was diagnosed. But my complaints about hypermobility didn't match that. I did a little survey in the support group. A significant proportion of patients with compression syndromes also have hypermobile joints and musculoskeletal disorders. It was clear to me: there is a connection. This little survey got a ball rolling. In the meantime, some doctors are researching this topic very intensively.
